Growing up in music ranging from classical to jazz, and even venturing into rock, acapella, and everything in between, Save Amos brings together many of their different influences to make this music special. From flowing guitar melodies and energetic bass lines to the multi-faceted harmonic skills of the group, this band is sure to please the ear, and the crowd.Originally starting as an acoustic duo comprised of Drew and Michael smith, SAVE AMOS has since Expanded to include other San Diego talents. From as many different directions we've come together to form one composite.The guitarist and lead vocalist is Drew Smith. He has experienced many different musical energies firsthand, playing drums for the likes of Blackletter Days, Motionless, The Binge and Paraduende. This new project is sure to bring something much different than what he is known for.Michael Smith has been trusted with basswork and supporting vocals. With his background in modern rock with Seattle-born Firebrat, and his walking, energetic bass lines.One of SAVE AMOS aquisitions has been Sean Mop. With his experience in San Diego based bands such as The Underclassmen and the Re-mones, Mop brings the rythm and vocal support that helps to bolster this electric project to where it was invisioned.Ziggy's charge has been to be responsible with drumwork. His experience is extensive: The Underclassmen, The Re-mones and currently Breaker Breaker One Niner. Not only is he a solid, energetic drummer but is apart of one of San Diego's better promotion teams. AZP.This quartet brings more to the table than a waitress with eight arms... And that's alot.
