Conceived by a surinamese father and a mixed (Dutch/indonesian) mother .
Ever since she was little girl, she always loved the spotlight, drawing positive attention and entertain people in her own way..
These skills and qualities are noticed by friend and family.
After being advised for the millionth time to use them, her parents decide to let her audition for ''Stichting Jeugd Musical Amsterdam''!
They made a good move by doing so.
They're blown away by her performance.
For six years she enrolls in all types of courses like: tapdance, ballet, singing and drama.
It didn't take long to notice her passion for acting.
After playing the musical RATS! she landed the lead role in the musical SJAKIE! playing Violet.
After touring the Netherlands for a while, TV shows like TELEKIDS requested her services. as did a couple of other large events.
When she turned twelve samantha was invited to audition for KTV (a tv show for canal+).
She passed the audition with flying colours and presented the program for 2 years.
The show eventually came to an end.
At fifteen samantha decided to leave "Stichting Jeugd Musical Amsterdam" to focus on high school. She graduated and applied to the theaterschool in Amsterdam,but was rejected because of her age. She then began studying art, culture and amusement. It seemed the to be a good choice for she would be able to enjoy all the creative influences it offers.
One of those influences are the wooden floors laying across the theater. It's instant love. For a while samantha tries multiple theathergroups until she encounters a group named RAST. The next two years samantha stars in 2 plays (one even played in turkey) and follows all the theatre lessons.
In her last year Samantha writes her own play as an exam called "JIJ, IK EN DIE LIEFDE".
Sinan Eroglu, one of her co-stars at RAST is shown the play and agrees to do it with miss cherish.
Together they star in "JIJ, IK EN DE LIEFDE"
And every soul who sees it is moved by it,and once more Samantha is told by friends and family to continue entertaining people with her abilities..
October 2007 samantha applies for funding and it's recieves it from the Amsterdam art fund.
They grand her the possibility to deploy her play on a greater scale.
After a grand premier in Septembre 2008, Jij, ik en de liefde started touring the country.
She's inspired by Tyler Perry and is following in his footsteps by adding producer to her skill set..
Right now she’s learning and being the best she can be at the school of art in Amsterdam..
In the near future Sammy (what her friends call her) will be starring in a theatre near you.
