About Me

I'm a photograher and multimedia artist based in beautiful Denver, Colorado. I've been all over the world photographing images that define people and places, but there is no place like home. When I'm not shooting pictures, short films, journaling, welding, or hanging out at my studio, I'm probably with my best friend (my wife) or digging for worms in the back yard with my other best friend (my little girl). I have another myspace page at myspace.com/denverheadshots... it's a little side project/business. You can see the link in the friends area below.

My Interests

I'm a sponge. I'd like to absorb almost everything. I'm constantly adding new skills because my mom never added "can't" to my vocabulary. Photography is my first love, but I'm also into welding, painting, film production, woodworking, etc. Besides the obvious, I like feet, watching people at the airport, coffee and beer with friends, and I'm obsessed with RVs (though I don't own one yet).

I'd like to meet:

This is my family vacation slide show. Enjoy!

Music:

My formative years were sculpted by REM, U2, The Dead Milkmen, 10,000 Maniacs, The 77s, The Innocence Mission, The Lemmonheads, Lenny Kravitz, Live, Luka Bloom, Waterdeep, Neil Yong, The Sundays, Tom Petty, Tracy Chapman, Toad The Wet Sprocket, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Marley, and Peter Murphy. Currently on my Ipod: Cold Play, The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Folds, Beth Orton, Bjork!!!!!!, Johny Cash, Oceanograher, Pedro the Lion!!!!, Radiohead, and one of my current favorites, Sufjan Stevens, Over the Rhine

Movies:

I don't own that many movies... I'm not one to watch movies over and over again. Time is too precious. Movies that stick out in my mind: Schindler's List, Raising Arizona... I'm horrible at movie and actor names... I'll have to come back to this one.

Television:

The only show that I currently watch with an addiction is LOST. Great writers, actors, cinematographers

Books:

Blue Highways, Blue like Jazz, All of Avedon's books, Dan Eldon: The Journey is the Destination, Irving Penn: Passage

Heroes:

Black background, with dark grey tables and blue writing. Teachers. When if I first moved to Colorado and while I was building my client base, I did some sub teaching on the side. I wish I could go back in time and appologise to every teacher that ever had me in their class. If more people sub taught, teachers would make much more money than doctors and lawyers.
