MINDWAR

..Mindwar started back in around 1990 or 1991. A.J. Nedosko, Brian Roy, and Chris Roy all first met through mutual friends while all attending CCSU in New Britain, CT. Brian and Chris Roy had been in the hardcore band BENT. We met our first drummer Desi Kensel and basically created the whole concept of MINDWAR while jamming a few songs together. I guess you could also call Dave Zavarella the official 5th member of mindwar too because he always lived with us, did all of our artwork, and was there from beginning to end. When Desi moved to NYC to attend college we found Joe Pro and jammed with him for about one year. Thats when we first started playing shows. We played a bunch of shows that year until we lost Joe and got Desi back. Around that time the band took it too a new level and took things more seriously. We moved to New Haven where Brian Roy had gotten a sweet job at Yale University. After playing many shows basically in CT and NYC we got signed to a small label in Germany. They offered to give us 100% tour support and also offered to record and put out a cd. We took the offer and toured europe many times between 1993-1996. The band broke up shortly after that due to the same old problems that destroy many bands and people. Brian Roy and Chris Roy played in the band BELOW THE SOUND out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Brian Roy now plays bass in the band CATFISH HUNTER. And Desi Kensel is the drummer for HIGH ON FIRE out of Oakland.
