There are select recording artists who can transcend cultural boundaries through music.

The debut release from Michael Ashanti entitled 'All Of Me' highlights such a diverse yet cohesive songwriting and vocal styling that effortlessly blends fusions of soul, jazz, pop, acoustic, funk, dancehall, reggaeton, and even a little classical. At first glance, one may wonder how any recording artist can confidently merge seemingly opposing styles into one project. Yet, a deeper glimpse into the life and musical history of this recording artist, producer and arranger will reveal the sources of those abilities.

Born in New York to parents of Jamaican descent, Michael's sensibilities towards an international mindset were established from the moment he took his first breath. Aside from his upbringing, the greatest factor to shape Michael's diversity as an artist began when his father enlisted in the military. From the age of 7 until his graduation from high school, Michael was relocating every 1 to 3 years throughout the United States, Central America, Hawaii, and Europe. While facing the challenge of frequent change and adaptation, Michael never missed a beat as he continued to channel his love for music with every change.

Michael drew upon all of his influences and experiences to bring about the final completion of 'All Of Me'. Michael became increasingly dedicated to the completion of this project after the recent passing of his mother and grandfather. Releasing the debut project through his independent label imprint of Ambassador Music Group, Michael confides, "the vision I have for my label is to unite present and emerging cultures through the fusion of diverse musical styles that represent those cultures". 'All Of Me' already achieves this by showcasing music that is easily accessible to seemingly opposing demographics.

By giving all of himself and truly showing up in the unique way in which he was destined to show up, Michael Ashanti deserves the unconditional attention of the listener as well as any success that follows.
