About Me

What to say...? Well, I am a typical child of the 1970's...under-experienced, over-educated, and still not completely sure just what I want to be when I grow up...my great passions in life are theatre and music (which just happen to be the two most difficult professions in which to make a living.)I am a liberal Democrat, which puts me in the minority among my fellow Alabamians. I frequently have to bite my tongue when politics are discussed, as I truly believe George W. Bush is the most embarassing dumbass ever to inhabit the Oval Office. Hopefully, the rest of the country is beginning to agree with me...HILLARY IN '08!!!I am an Anglophile, and would move to England TODAY if I had a job there...I have always been my happiest in the UK, especially London and Oxford. My taste in women tends towards the more glamorous...Tina Louise (circa 1965 as "Ginger") will always reign supreme among fantasy figures...red hair, tons of makeup, and a flirtatious personality? What's not to love (or at least lust...?;-)I also love the beach, vanilla martinis (or my new favorite, vanilla vodka and coke,) barbeque, late nights, good times with friends, springtime, Broadway musicals, The Episcopal Church, reading, listening to call-in radio shows (I know, it's insipid but fun) talking about politics, playing with my parents' puppy (cutest dog in the world)and napping whenever possible.I can't stand the cold, boredom, most sports (I will occasionally watch baseball for a few minutes) itchy clothes, cheese, manual labor, bugs, not having enough money, waking up early, and people who use bad grammar. (To quote Henry Higgins, "Oh why can't the English teach their children how to speak? This verbal class distinction by now should be antique...")While I do believe in a civilized society, I am increasingly distressed at the erosion of civil liberties in the name of "law and order." I think marijuana should be legalized (less damaging to the body than alcohol.) I also believe EDUCATION (or the lack thereof)is the greatest challenge facing America right now. It is absurd to me that we actually have elected officials who consider the study of arts and humanities non-essential...so sad. I think the war in Iraq is IMMORAL AND BASED ON THE LIES OF GEORGE "DUBYA" BUSH. I've got nothing but respect for the troops...it's the Commander-In-Chief I can't stand...what a moron.I also like "Family Guy," Saturday nights, and green (English) peas. And women in leopard print. And the colors cranberry and hunter green. My dream car is a BMW convertible, and my favorite soft drink is Dr. Pepper.
