Slaptones

About Me

A four piece Stockholm-based band consisting of three sisters and their dad. Have been playing together for ages and have released two fullenght albums. Have been touring both Europe and USA, latest supporting Brian Setzer. The band has a well deserved reputation of being a great live act.
Started out more or less as a cover band, playing songs by Carl Perkins, Stray Cats, Fats Domino and Muddy Waters among others. In the beginning as a trio (Jan, Greta & Stella), until baby sister Sunniva decided to jump on. The first album, Simplify (EMI/Capitol), was recorded in october 2002, live in a studio on Gotland, in just five days. The second record, Amplify (EMI/Capitol), was recorded in Stockholm early 2004, a twelve track all original piece.
Slaptones have been called schizofrenic by some critics, something they're satisfied with. They mix their music and pick up the best pieces from different genres. And they will continue doing so as long as they excist as a band.
