The Decimation Protocol are a Death Metal band spawning classic death metal in a modern form, with influences ranging from early death metal to more modern death, black and some other genre's. Taking these influences and creating interesting and original music with grooves that you can fucking bang your head to.
Spending more than enough time in the rehearsal studio compiling a hellish set, the band had their debut show at the end of 2007. In 2008 the band had a wicked run of shows including the Stepinn, Brutalfest, and Rosies supporting Psycroptic. The band also started on thier debut EP.
Fuck yeah!! 2009 is off to a great start with two wicked shows at Rosies in Brisbane City supporting The Bezerker and The Amenta as well as playing with awesome local acts such as Sakkuth, Born from the Ashes, Aeternitis amongst others. And now with the completion of a raw pre-ep demo available. The band now in writing mode for the next two months in order to prepare for the next lot of shows following the EP release in May, 09.
With the E.P luanch being a success the band is now focusing on writing and booking the next line of shows. The Assimilation Directive is available by contacting the band via this page for $10aus posted anywhere in the world.
