*CHECK OUT my 'Fingerstyle' version of 'Love In Vain.' I recently got a new Greg Bennett Acoustic Guitar, with Rosewood back and sides, Spruce top, flame maple binding with abalone inlay. Anyway, I did a solo take in, yeah, my bedroom. Direct into the recorder, No over dubs, only me. I faded it after the second verse, because somehow there was some strange cell phone rf noise which found it's way into the recording. That sorta blew the second half. But it still is cool, and the sound of these great guitars from the Greg Bennett company is really exceptional.
On these recordings the primary electric guitar I'm playing is a Greg Benett AV 7 with custom pickups, through a Music Man 50 RD, with vintage JBL's.
On 'You don't Love Me,' I'm playing my Greg Bennett Avion, (AV 7). Avi plays the first guitar solo, while I take the second. David K is playing Drum, Buddy Charles is playing Harp, Yasha ..s, Paul Dominguez is on Bass.
On 'Too Many Drivers,' David K is playing Drums, Avi is playing the first Guitar solo, while I do the last one. Buddy Charles is playing harp, Yasha ..s and sax, Paul Dominguez on Bass. We all had a lot of fun playing this song :)
On 'The Things I Used To Do,' 'Blind Sax', (Tim)is playing Sax, and does a great solo. David is playing Drums, Paul Dominguez is on Bass, Yasha on organ. I'm playing Guitar, Avi playing 2nd Guitar. Avi takes the first solo and I take the second guitar solo.
Well, 'Sleepwalk' ain't the Blues, but I love that song. and it is a classic piece of American music. I really wanted to try it, so I grabbed my lap steel (the Artisan) and this is what we got. This is an early recording of it. I've improved on the steel, and look forward to doing more recording on it. Mike Leahy on Drums, Bob Horton on Guitar, Yasha ..s and Sax, Paul Dominguz on Bass, and myself on lap steel.
On 'All Your Love,' David K is playing Drums, Yasha is playing Keys and Sax, Paul Dominguez on Bass, Mike Alvarez on Harp, Avi on 2nd Guitar, (he takes the first solo), and myself on main Guitar, playing the last guitar solo. The recording is a bit damaged, but overall it was a good jam so we kept it.
