Sounds Like: Bless't - Rise and Shine EP
Posted by Mr. Game Face-OnUsually before a main course meal at a good restaurant sometime you can get a good fill from a nice appetizer. But if the appetizer is very good you may just take the main course home in a dogie bag. Well Eternal Hustle Recordz has given us a filling appetizer of Bless't straight outta Houston, TX. Bless't brings us a serving of his ministry with the Ep "Rise and Shine."Bless't has a powerful street ministry and let's you know up front he is real. From the track called "Dope Tales" featuring Ganksta Loc and 007, these ministers wants to express the other side of the dope game. A different side than how usual dope raps are made. No Scarface "the World Is Mine Globe" but "Your family is in danger from your life style" type flows. Ganksta Loc and 007 really bring out this track. Also the chopped in screwed hook puts you in the hood mindset. The beat is fused with a haunting organs that will make any dope boy second guess the game. Peep a line from this track "Don't go to hell for a key or a pound/ I'm living Proof He can turn it around."It's good to see more Christian rappers that are family men. Bless't express a main reason he is on earth. That reason is his children on the track "You Are" he expresses his love for his kids. Bless't evens open up on his life and problems with his wife on this song. He let's his kids know that issue with his spouse wouldn't separate the family. This is a story about a man of God stepping up to the plate and reconciling for the sake of peace and family.Rise and Shine is a Ep is a must for any fan of Realness in not on Christian rap but music period. The guess features from S.O.M., Gifted, Bruce Takara are well noted. Also the song Smash is the banger of the album. If you never heard a real south cypher track this is one for the record books. The production on all four songs are top notch. Now Bless't the appetizer is over time for the main course. Give the people a full project!
