Here's me: Jasonthoughts by the dozen.
While we're at it, I also play music with the best people in the world: Hands on Fire and Porches
And I shall search my soul
I shall search my very soul
And I shall search my very soul
I shall search my very soul.
The past few days sound like this:
Various Stiff Records artists, Wilco, the Band, Blue Oyster Cult, a whole lot of Thin Lizzy, Cardiac Party, Alex Chilton, Saint Vitus, Beach House, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Silver Apples, Pentagram, the Obsessed, Ryan Adams, Boris with Michio Kurihara, Pentangle, Paul McCartney and other stuff.
This thing keeps track of what I listen to on my laptop, but not my iPod, cd player, tape deck or phono. Oh well.
Star Wars, Woody Allen, Wes Anderson, others.
I mostly watch my tv on dvd, don't you?
One my earliest favorite books was Edgar Rice Burroughs' "A Princess of Mars." The copyright for this book has expired in the US, so it resides in public domain. You can read it here. But if I were you, I would try and track down the copy with Frank Frezetta's illustrations, 'cos they are quite wonderful.
I tend to like books or book type things by these folks:
John Hodgeman, Douglas Coupland, Donald Miller, Nick Hornby, Jack Kerouac, Frank Herbert, Rob Bell, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Kurt Vonnegut, Stan Lee, Frank Miller, C.S. Lewis, Craig Thompson, Adam Voith, Alan Moore, Ayn Rand, Dave Eggers, Franz Kafka, Hunter S. Thompson, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, Salvador Plascencia...others too.
My dad.
