About Me

To sum up 50+ years in just a few sentences, I was born, grew up, didn’t get drafted. Bought the perfect convertible, wrecked it; met the right girl and got married; learned to fly; moved to Florida; played solo; got cured of cancer; joined a band, got kicked out of the band, played solo some more. And here we are…
I wish I could say I’m a great songwriter or musician, but it just ain’t so. However, I do enjoy playing whether it’s by myself or for a crowd. I love finding the songs that no one has heard of, or heard for a long time. My big thrill comes from someone saying to me, “I haven’t heard that in a long time, what a great tune.” At a show, someone asked if I know any John Prine songs. What she didn’t know is that I am a John Prine jukebox. An hour of prime Prine later, it was closing time and I had a new friend or life. (Wish I got her name for my mailing list…)
Looks like it’s Buffet and blues for me now, with a little Dylan, Prine and Steve Goodman thrown in for good measure.
Hope to see you around town.

Winds of Change, part 2

One of the things I love to do on vacation is find a quiet place to sit and play my guitar (and maybe sing along).  When we cruise, it's either and empty lounge or out on the deck where the jogg...

I'M NOT FLO!

Some folks think I look a little like Mark Vollman from the Turtles.  Could be the hair, the glasses or the belly (Sorry Mark, we both know it's there...) Well, they were at Disney this past week...

That Damn Clock

Ever since my wife brought home our new talking clock, strange things have been happening. First of all, the clock refuses to speak when spoken to.  When we say time, it sits and stares a...
