About Me

via videosift.com   I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

I'm a working screenwriter and part-time journalist for Fangoria Magazine and the kind folks at Shock Till You Drop.com. My passion for movies started at the tender age of seven when my father took me to see JAWS. I was terrified, riveted, forever scarred ... and knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life from that moment on. While horror and suspense films became my primary area of interest, it's not my exclusive area of interest. If you were to peruse my DVD library you'd find titles like RIFIFI, LES SAMOURAI, LE TROU, WAGES OF FEAR and BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S right alongside my horror vices.

I've sold three screenplays which are sitting in Hollywood's "Development Hell". Frustrating yes, but at least people thought enough of them to buy them right? That's what I keep telling myself anyway.

My interest in journalism sprang from my love of hearing myself talk. Pure and simple. At least I can admit it, unlike some others. But, I also think there aren't enough objective or pragmatic voices out there. Just about every media outlet seems to be bent to the left or the right. I myself being neither (or both I suppose), I try my best to express the point of view of somebody who has the ability to see both sides of the coin. Whether I actually accomplish that -- who knows? I suppose that's for you to decide.

If you respond to any of the blogs on this page, I only have one request -- in the words of Jim Rome, sports talk radio host -- "Have a take and don't suck." Yeah, that about covers it.
