Just finished/adored LightHousekeeping by jeanette winterson, and also recently discovered neil gaiman. Go ahead, judge. Geek Love, Octavia Butler, Edward Said, Seamus Heaney, Angela Davis, Philip Pullman, lots of sci-fi. Ted Hughes. I'll read anything involving dangerous ocean crossings.
