I was born on December 31, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. By My teens I was living in New Hampshire, where I entered and won the "Miss New Hampshire" beauty contest. In college, I sang at local clubs on the weekends, and after graduation I began getting work in television commercials. I've appeared in three stage plays and on two soap operas before filming the original "V" miniseries. In the mid-eighties, I had a short-lived marriage to architect Michael Rachlin. In 1989 I moved to Australia where I started filming the TV series, "Mission: Impossible". While in Australia I fell in love and re-married. I now currently live in Australia with my husband and two sons.
