the story of zarkov starts in the early 80ts. Holger Schmidt began to learn how to play the trumpet and later how to play guitar. From this time he was addicted to music. He foundet his first (Punk)-Band. After this Band he starts to play guitar and trumpet in a Hardcore-Krautrock-Experimental-Band in Offenbach. At the same time Techno came to Europe. Holger bought his first sampler - an Akai S2000. He foundet with Yapacc the Techno-Project Elektrasmus and played many live-gigs in germany and the netherlands. Holger called himself Zarkov (the great sientist from the Alex Raymond Comic Flash Gordon) and worked preferred with great analog Equipment like Roland SH101, the unbelievable TR808, Dave Smith Evolver......... 2005 Zarvov foundet with his friend deeptune the project Schmidt&Schulz and this guys playing experimental live Techno.
