Back in the day, Dave-O grew up in a christian family of 5, Raised by his mother and step-dad. Being the middle child he was in a way kina ignored growin up. So when he had things he wondered about, there was no one, not even his own parents, brother or sister, that he could go to clear his mind. You can say he held in a lot of shit as a kid. He had some hobbies, basketball, normal kid shit, but most of the time he stayed in his room for hours with his first love, art(drawing). As a result, he was quiet, unsociable, and many thought he was stuck up in school. He didn't really like the way others felt about him so he open up as he got a lil older. He discovered he had a gift. A gift to make people smile, laugh. And he became fun to be around. He got out of alot of trouble just by being funny. While comming up he started to have crazy close encounters with death, his firs was falling out of a moving car on a freeway. He survived.. didn't even break a bone. he was about 8.. About a year later.. His dad(step) woke up in the middle of the night, not to his knowlege there next-door-neighboors house was on fire.. They were already dead by the time. But it was a miracle that Dave-O and his family got out of the apartment safe.. Followed by years of being stricken wit all types of childhood sicknesses, Dave-O expericenced heavy stress dealing with numerous friends dying.. Car wrecks, murder, suicide, cancer, mysteries.. He watched a lot of friends leave him. Which lead him to think that he himself wouldn't make it. He did. He started to turn to the rhymes of a fellow Houston rapper, *Z-Ro* to help cope with alot of situations. In his junior year in high school he discovered another talent, he was a great writer, and turned to that as a vent to the ways of the world. During his senior year he got serious about it and a close friend by the name of *Rayce* talked him into recording wit him.. They recorded a few songs that had a good buzz in his home town. Comming up he didnt think he'd make it. He did, now he's in the US Navy.. Still stressing, he's been in Japan for a year, dealing with the deaths of three grandparents, and a few family friends while at sea, a stressed out Dave-O turned to the pen again. Living off the words of Z-Ro. Although he's been through a lot. He thanks God for every day he sees. Even the hard ones.
