Stepping Stone

Stepping Stone was founded around the year 2003, released their first demos and started to perform gigs. After several line-up changes the band has ended up to its current form which includes the founding members Mika Tourunen (vocals/electric&acoustic guitars) and Hannu Ranki (bass) and the Pantsu brothers Tomi (drums) and Jouni (guitar). In 2006, the band changed their style more towards traditional prog rock and also got even one new member, keyboardist/accordionist/vocalist Sir Iivo Johansson. Iivo uses a wide range of keyboard sounds including grand piano, Hammond organ, analog synthesizers and sample-based orchestral sounds. Stepping Stone´s music could be described as melodic, progressive influenced rock with some jazz/fusion and folk music vibes.
