I am the President and Founder of a youth organization named Voices of The Village, Inc founded 2006. Our mission is geared toward helping youth who are at risk or have had contact with the juvenille court system find a successful path in life. I have a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Real Estate, but the million dollar question is why am I in social services. Many people in the hood become successful and leave. Taking the knowledged they learned and running with it instead of passing it on to the generation under them. The Voice of the Young People stems from me staying in the hood recycling what I learned and Advocating for the youth. I can always be found going out and seeking different oppurtunities and activities for youth that I come across through my work or in my neighborhood on a daily basis. Voices of The Village main goal is to help youth and provide them at least an oppurtunity to travel down the right road. We plan to do this by teaching youth how to be mentors at an early age. Youth spend most of their teenage years with their peers, so who better to learn from? Our organization focuses on developing educational, recreational, and life skills programs for youth, and with providing direct professional services and counseling/mentoring to youth. People these days find it hard to listen to what youth have to say, so I serve as that bridge between youth and others. That is what makes me the "Voice of the Young People"
