My name is Rigoberto Garcia a.k.a HKX (Hard-Kore-X), I was born in Cook County Hospital on March 8, 1987. The Place I really consider home is Cicero, IL If it weren't for Cicero, I wouldn't be rapping. I started at a young age around 8 just writing poetry; I grew up really rough and I hated it so I decided to write how I felt on a piece of paper one day and from there on I haven't stopped. That's how I got into Hip Hop/Rap, I found it easier to write how I felt down with the situations I've been through it was like therapy to me. So I just wrote everything down and it all rhymed for some reason. I moved to Wheaton, Illinois in the second semester of my 7th grade year. I've been there ever since but I always go back home to visit. I started recording when I was 10 around 1997, I was recording songs with my cousins G and K on my cousins K's computer we recorded with Acid Pro 3.0. We started free styling and composing our own songs before we even started recording years back. We would freestyle all the time everywhere we went we would bust a free. My freshman year at Wheaton Warrenville South High School I started selling our cd's out there. I was the first emcee to ever sell a cd at South than everybody else that rapped or wanted to rap started pushing there shit out. I got noticed for being the Mexican Emcee there and I started collaborating with one of my good friends Jeremy Payton, a.k.a Yung Blaze. I had shown him some of my music and he just started writing, freestyling and we jus started recording songs on his comp within a week or two back in 2004. He had a record contract with ECR and I was featured on two of the songs on his album. We composed so many songs together we jus pushed shit out even more and more. I started handing out our material in the Chi other areas every where I went I would just hand a demo out. Than in 05 that's how I got the contract with Never Kneel Down Records (NKD). Blaze knew the guy that was the CEO of the label he had grown up around him. He heard our shit decided 2 sign us and we did a compilation in 06 I believe. Shit didn't go smooth with the label afterwards, they had dropped us from the label so they could push out one of the new artist on NKD. I'm on Anger Manij'ment Inc. owned by Rocky "Kurse" Bueno, it's actually one of the best moves I've done. I'm on my boys label repping his label to the fullest. I met him through a DJ I know and we just did a collab and from there on we just talked about me jumping on his label. Told me he needed an artist with my type of caliber on his label so I was like fuck it I'm down. I'm making more music, no one has control over what I do, I have full control of my shit, I got myself a studio with Pro Tools. I'm still on the grind with my shit and I'm always working on something new. My inspiration is my family, everyone I love, and myself of course. All the things I saw growing up, R.I.P. 2 my tio Jesus Garcia a.k.a Chu-Cho and my cousin Gerardo Garcia a.k.a Lalo R.I.P. my nigga I miss u lil bro.
