About Me

Layout made by ButterflygirlmsWell, I graduated college back in 2000, with a degree in Social Work, which is not doing me any good right now. I am currently in school to become a court reporter. I work from home as a general transcriptionist, it's great money and I don't have to serve catfish (like at my previous job)and it's awesome; I got so lucky. I still work plenty of hours, but they can be in my pajamas if I want. Every day I remind myself of how AWESOME it is to not waitress/bartend anymore. So my life's good. I've been married to Tony for three years and he still makes me laugh every single day. I love my cats, Ramon and Squanto, whose sole mission, I believe, is to keep us from sleeping. I look forward the day, coming sooner and sooner, when I will have an excellent career, live somewhere where our neighbors take down their Christmas tree down before July, and have lots of money. But until then, I'm loving what I have. I love my husband. I love our cats. I love sitting on the patio and drinking a cold beer. I love the Bears and the Cubs. I love our awesome families and friends, and I thank God every day for what I do have, because it's so much more than what some people can dream of. So that's me.Look at how silly my cat is. And people wonder why we don't have kids :) Ramon

My Interests

Sports. Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, roller derby, you name it. Just watching, though, as I've recently found out I'm not quite coordinated enough to play. In the summer, I love sitting on my patio, reading, drinking a beer, or listening to the Cubs; if I can do all three, I'm a happy girl. Once football starts, you won't hear from me or see me on Sunday if you aren't a football fan.

I'd like to meet:

Da Coach. And this guy--no matter what mood I'm in this video makes me laugh!

Music:

Just about everything. CD's in our house range from Toby Keith to Marilyn Manson to Eminem to Kelly Clarkson. And -- This guy is absolutely amazing. Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

Movies:

Not a huge movie person anymore. I love: Untamed Heart, Pretty Woman, Noises Off (funniest movie EVER,) Father of the Bride 1 and 2 (I know, it's terrible,) Hairspray, Friday, and Good Will Hunting. I hate: Scream and anything else that is remotely considered frightening to a four year old.

Television:

Sportscenter and whatever game is on, be it football, baseball, basketball, or hockey. For some reason, Tony and I also love the food network, despite the fact I don't cook much and he doesn't eat much. TLC, Discovery, anything like that. And those shows about the families with like thirteen kids? Can't get enough of them. Don't know why.

Books:

Love to read, but usually nothing too deep :) Same as movies, I like the predictable happy ending. Jen Lancaster and Laurie Notaro are two of the funniest writers ever; I can read their stuff over and over again. If you haven't read them -- GO GET THEM NOW. You will laugh. And everyone should be required to read "Five People You Meet in Heaven." Awesome.

Heroes:

Mom and Dad. They rock.
