About Me

br /
Alright people my story is this. Lived in Tulsa all my life. Started playing guitar at 14 been in all kinds of local bands on and off for twenty years. I put out an instrumental jazz/funk/rock cd in 2003 instrumental only cause I couldn't find a lead vocalist. Some really cool things came because of that cd, I sent a cd to then owner of Zion guitars Ken Hoover because I had talked to him before about a Ty Tabor Zion I had and we kinda hit it off so I thought I would get his take on my music. He emailed me back a week later and offered me an artist deal with Zion guitars. It really floored me and I just thought that was so generous and it meant and still means alot to me. So two custom guitars later I'm here to say Zion and Dale Brown (current owner) make the finest playing quality guitars in the world, anyways I also got to open for Kings X which is a band I've followed since 1988 and had Ty Tabor sign my Zion Ty Tabor model guitar that night before I went onstage...just unbelievable!! Also got some radio play on about sixty stations in twenty five states nationwide. I remember doing a radio interview on my lunch break and it was for a Boston station I think, anyways the guy was like "when are you gonna tour this way?" and I was like "uhh I don't know man hopefully sometime soon" it really made me depressed knowing I was getting ready to go back to work and not go play a show. Well needless to say you don't get many gigs in Tulsa playing fusion. If they can't drink and try to get laid to it your not gonna get many gigs around here does that ring a bell with anybody out there?? So in January 2005 I walked off the stage after playing for five people and said F*$@ this. I was sick of it all!! After that night I didn't call the guys I was playing with again and to be honest I don't think they cared and I sure as hell didn't either. Well the rest of '05 was having another son and just chillin'. 2006 did a couple of solo dates just me and a cd and also did some recording for a black gospel album. In 2007 I decided that if I wanted to appeal to regular folks I would have to write more mainstream stuff which for me is a stretch for some reason. So I focused on my favorite kind of music Rock & Metal. I went to Guitar Center in March of 2007 spent $800 bucks on a Boss DR880 Drum Machine and a Micro BR Digital Recorder. I spent six agonizing months writing the drums note by note and at 11:05 p.m. on New Years eve I finished. Started recording guitars in January 2008 and finished March 26th. Alittle over a month later I found just the right people to form a new band with and on July 4th we played our first gig as EndGame. I'll have to say that this is the most enjoyable band experience I've ever had. We are an original band and I can't really describe what we sound like...we just sound like us. If you scroll down to my top friends list you'll see the EndGame page click on it and let me know what you think. The songs on the page are actually those demos I talked about earlier that I made we just added some bass and vocals to it and for what it is it's not to bad production wise. Go and check it out and listen for yourself.GOOD NIGHT NOW!!! plain layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com love / music / movies / frazy Andrew Sears Band music layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments music layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com love / music / movies / frazy
