Most people know I enjoy travel, karaoke, literature, movies and shopping. Most probably have gathered I enjoy Internet surfing-hobby perfected during my 3 year stint monitoring BSU computer labs-a job got for me by Krystel who had that job already & put in good word with her boss.My other hobbies/interests include being Mary Kay independent beauty consultant,cooking/dining out, music & dancing, collecting cookbooks, etc. I like getting what I call mani/pedis-mani and pedicures, getting massages, love laying out soaking up sun. I like taking walks in the park across the street. In past I used too do more swimming and volleyball playing, we do have a pool & jacuzzi @ our complex. I love seeing my missed family and friends, and of course, spending time w/Robert. I enjoyed going to Art Museum in Houston last month for the Monet exhibit, my favorite artist. I have been too 30 U.S states, 20 too go-my goal is too get too them all, 4 countries-Toronto, Canada-with my parents- (Progresso, Matamoros), Mexico-with my fiance-on a BSU field study-with a group of students too Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania-Australia and too Kulua Lumpur, the capitol of Malaysia-Asian country. I've covered a lot of TX, but, it's a pretty big state of course...hard too get too it all, especially since most things are 5-6 hours away. My favorite travel spots in past-Florida-we used too visit my grandparents their annually when I was growing up, Austin, Houston, Dallas-TX, South Padre Island, Nashville, IN, Chicago, Vermont, New York City-Manhattan-Staten Island/Niagra Falls, Boston-went too Cheers bar, New Orleans-Wild & Crazy,Colorado, Charleston, S.C, Memphis-yes, I went too Graceland and all the 4 countries-especially Australia. -one of my heros-the great & hilliarous, Paula Deen plus her recipes my fiance & I made are too die for especially her ooey gooey cake and cherry or blueberry cream cheese tarts. For those who don't know the tale-I met my fiance @ BSU (we're getting married in Sept.) After (BSU) graduation, I stayed in Muncie-where I couldn't find work and was going out of my mind bored-but it did make me realize how lacking my life was without him. He took a fellowship-where he moved every six months-he then lived in Houston, Laredo, Beaumont-TX-where we live now and Albany, NY. I think he was offered job in TX because he had worked here before and also speaks fluent Spanish. I love TX, just not particularly Beaumont, it's like Muncie but bigger and not a lot too do. We have been too Austin, Dallas, South Padre Island, Mexico, etc. We live hour-half from Houston, go their often and both love it, its' a great city with huge 3 story mall-the Galleria. My fiance moved too Beaumont in Sept '05, shortly before Hurricane Rita struck here-he evacuated too Dallas. I moved too Beaumont in Nov. '05.Living in Southeast TX with my beloved fiance, Robert. The future Mrs. Lopez, tying the knot soon, we'll keep you posted. My fiance is entertainment features (newspaper) reporter, he's my world, if I never have anyone else, I know I'll always have him too count on.Ironically, Beaumont is next door too Port Arthur, TX, the hometown of 1 of my idols-the late singer Janis Joplin. Beaumont is the home of Country singers, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Byrd-who lives down the street from us, among others. George Jones is also from the area/attended high school at least, so, it's a hotbed for great musical talent! ZZ Top, played their first ever show @ the Knights of Columbus Hall here in Beaumont.I will begin job hunting after we return from visting IN the first week of May for congrats, Norma-my future sister-in-laws' BSU graduation, our bridal shower, we want too visit our families and do wedding planning also.
Love all kinds! Esp. anything, can dance too (as I love too dance)!I got into karaoke thru my dear departed friend, Krystel, something I always wanted too try and she had before, we used too go together in Anderson.

-the great late Janis Joplin-one of the great singers-My fav songs of hers are Me & Bobby McGee and Piece of My Heart.-I couldn't stop crying when she died-she was as they said the Peoples' Princess, I admired her beauty-both inside and out, her compassion, fashion sense and those kind eyes and the devlish smile she had that made you wonder what was behind it.-the great late Marilyn Monroe-my fav films of hers are Some Like It Hot, How to Marry A Millioniare, etc.-Great Anna Nicole fan of her giving spirit and E! show, always such a beautiful smile and laugh.-The great Paula Deen-a woman who always makes me laugh and whose culinary skills remind me of my Grandmothers' that she passed down too my Mom who passed them on too me.-one of the greatest presidents of our time.-JFK Jr. like his father-he had a short life full of promise of what could have been.-I admire them both for their hard work for the country and their politics, also they have a great relationship like Robert and I hope too have, you can tell their are each others best friends and share a lot of laughs. I think besides Kennedy, Clinton was also 1 of the greatest Presients of our time.-Jim Morrison, I love the Doors!-Jimi Hendrix-love his music & guitar playing.R.I.P.-Beloved friend, Krystel Leigh Madison-you are loved and missed by many besides myself-you gave me so much when we were at BSU-car rides, escape from campus-the job where I met Robert, laughs & great times, self esteem and you took me too karaoke and get my mind off things when I was without Robert, Earth lost a great person, Heavan gained a angel. As they say Heavan keeps the faithful departed-also missed my beloved cat, Chancey-1987-2003 and my paternal Grandparents, among others including friend, Sandi Best-one of the class acts of Yorktown, she didn't know a stranger and didn't have a enemy-her laugh and spirt were infectious-her and Krystel lived a short time but we can celeberate their lives not the moment they left us and they taught us all a lot.
