Within Temptation, Evanescence, and anything loud and metal and if it annoys my neighbours even better! It's brilliant listening to them hammering the walls at 3am, I normally wear headphones but it doesnt have the same effect! Pray you never move in next to me!
I will watch anything horror, you can't beat a good horror film but below are my all time favourites:
Shawshank redemption ~
Andy Dufresne, is sent to Shawshank Prison for the murder of his wife and secret lover. He is very isolated and lonely at first, but realises there is something deep inside your body, that people can't touch and get to....'HOPE'. Andy becomes friends with prison 'fixer' Red (Morgan Freeman), and Andy epitomises why it is crucial to have dreams. His spirit and determination, leads us into a world full of imagination, filled with courage and desire. Will Andy ever realise his dreams...?
The Hand That Rocks the Cradle ~
Peyton Flanders seemed to be the perfect nanny, but secretly she was out to wreck the lives of the family she was supposed to be helping. Before becoming the nanny, Peyton had a miscarriage, and blamed it on Claire (the mother). Claire suspects nothing, having never met Peyton before.
A gynecologist committs suicide when he is accused for having sexually molested 5 of his patients, and his wife loses her unborn baby as a result of stress. She then takes on another name and applies to the nanny position that the first woman to make the accusation has announced. She gets the job and she's up for revenge in her sly ways.
Single White Female ~
When a 'Single White Female' places an ad in the press for a similar woman to rent a room (to replace the boyfriend she's just left), all the applicants seem weird. Then along comes a level headed woman who seems to be just right. The new lodger has a secret past which haunts her.
Top Gun ~Maverick is a hot pilot. When he encounters a pair of MiGs over the Persian Gulf, his wingman is clearly outflown and freaks. On almost no fuel, Maverick is able to talk him back down to the Carrier. When his wingman turns in his wings, Maverick is moved up in the standings and sent to the Top Gun Naval Flying School. There he fights the attitudes of the other pilots and an old story of his father's death in combat that killed others due to his father's error. Maverick struggles to be the best pilot, stepping on the toes of his other students and in a different way to Charlie, a civilian instructor to whom he is strongly attracted.
The Crow ~Shelly and Eric were very much in love. But no one gets married on Halloween, not in Detroit. Shelly is raped and beaten by city boss Top Dollar's thugs, only to die 30 hours later in a hospital. Eric is shot and pushed out a window. A year later death is no longer what it was as Eric Draven, accompanied by a Crow and gifted with new powers and a world of grief and pain, is brought back to life to avenge his love's death. After all, love is forever. And some of us Believe in Angels.
Interview with a Vampire ~In a dimly lit room a vampire tells his story to a naive reporter. Louis (Pitt) is in a reckless state after the death of his wife and child (brother in the book). He is turned into a vampire by Lestat (Cruise), who is impressed by his spirit and wants a companion to ease the tedium of immortality. Lestat is a vicious killer and Louis begins to despise him believing there is more to vampirism than cruelty. After learning that Lestat knows very little about the origins of this dark gift, he plans to leave Lestat.
Lestat discovers Louis feeding on a child and turns her into a vampire in order to stop Louis leaving him. The bizarre family of Louis, Lestat and Claudia is formed. The vampires stay together for years, but Claudia begins to resent her vampirism when she realises she cannot ever grow up. In a fit of rage she tries to kill Lestat and she and Louis flee.
The pair arrive in Paris where they meet vampire Armand and his band of actor vampires at the Theatre des Vampires. Armand is fascinated by Louis and wants him for an immortal companion. This necessitates the death of Claudia. Claudia, sensing Louis will leave her begs him to make her a companion. Louis creates Madeleine to look after Claudia but the arrangement does not last long. Armand's vampires come en masse, drag Louis off and imprison him in a steel box while Claudia and Madeleine are taken to a well where they are left to die as the sun rises. Armand rescues Louis, but not before Claudia is dead. Louis enraged torches the theatre and kills all of Armand's minions. He leaves Armand unable to forgive him, and returns to New Orleans where he meets up with Lestat who did not die at Claudia's attack. Louis leaves Lestat and there his story concludes. The young interviewer, awed, begs to be turned into a vampire. Louis despairing that he learnt nothing leaves. The Interviewer jumps into his car and drives away listening to Louis' tapes when Lestat appears from the back seat, feeds from him and drives off into the night.
Silent Hill ~ Rose cannot accept the medical diagnosis that her daughter, who suffers nightmarish trances in which she refers to the town of Silent Hill, is going insane. Over the protests of her husband, she flees with her child, Sharon, to Silent Hill seeking answers for her daughter's condition. It is revealed that the town had been evacuated thirty years earlier due to an unstoppable (and still burning) underground coal fire, and that Sharon was likely born there. A local motorcycle cop named Sybil ends up pursuing Rose and Sharon into the outskirts of the abandoned and cordoned off town on a rainy night, where they suffer simultaneous "wipe-outs" and black out. Rose awakens to find that everything is lit by an unearthly, luminous mist and that her daughter is gone from her SUV. Following what she thinks is her daughter's silhouette all over town, Rose is lured to a group of horrific creatures and blacks out again to the sound of a wailing emergency-alert siren--just as the creatures have gotten a good grip on her
The Craft ~ Sarah Bailey, a sixteen year old troubled teenager with a painful past and a history of suicidal tendencies and hallucinations, moves to L.A. with her father and stepmother to start a new life - and is enrolled into a Catholic school. It is at school that she comes into contact with three unlikely friends, Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle, all who are socially outcast with various problems in their lives that they wish they could fix. Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle dabble in occult practices, and when they notice Sarah has the powers of a natural witch, they talk her into joining their coven. When Sarah joins, they soon realize that with a fourth witch in the coven they can begin to cast spells they couldn't before, and begin to amend all the things wrong in their lives - but like everything else in life - things come with a price.
I love anything forensic, I am gonna plan the perfect murder one day, now all I need is a guinea pig, any offers?
