No, but really, I am, like the city I love, not necessarily viewed by those who have never seen me in person, or taken the time to "visit", as the most asthetically pleasing, or culturally enriched individual.
With that said, In some senses, that judgement may still hold true....however, to the people who like to peel away the chipped paint from the gritty dark exterior, most will find there is a person rich in history, experience, and life that's been lived to the motherfukin' fullest...
I have left my beloved city of Detroit to make Boston my new home , and have moved back and forth from Detroit to Boston 3 times since 1999. But for the time, it is Boston, (or specifically, LYNN, MA) where I lay my oversized lettuce. Boston, is cool....I think I like Detroit better, but there's just too many things there that I prefer not to be in the presence of. I intend to eventually relocate to Vegas, over the next couple of years. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I fell head over heels in LUST with it over the summer. It is synonymous with the type of person I am.
My hobbies are simple.....writing, whiskey and living.
Lately, I have realized I am not doing enough of any of them. (excluding the sweet sauce they call whiskey, of course).....
I am not spiritual, I am not religious, I am apolitical, and I am not the most social of beings, although amidst the right company, I can be the opposite.
I am 31, and still do not have a clue of what I want out of life, as I have yet to come across something (other than maybe Vegas), that has me changing everything just to be in it's direction. I believe almost NOBODY is who they ARE anymore, and that is why I have become more antisocial over the years. I wish everybody would be exactly as they ARE, but 99% of all people are petrified of that. I have been guilty of this myself, but that has changed drastically over the past couple of years. I love pancakes. My mother is the most important, infuential, and beloved person in my life, and there's really not much else to say.
