About Me

At 219 Records, we are unique in our dedication to nurturing our artists’ vision while at the same time keeping a watchful eye on market trends. Upon careful study of the industry we conclude that where one of these two essential elements is neglected, it is done at the expense of overall success. Success, for our purposes, is defined as high quality musical output, satisfied and productive artists, and a healthy bottom line. The 219 Records trademark will be its commitment to high quality music. This applies to both sound quality and musical content. Management’s objective is to achieve a status whereby consumers, identifying the 219 Records logo, purchase albums based simply on the fact that they are 219 releases. 219 Records eclectic offering will range from blues to R&B, jazz to soul, electronic to hip-hop, Latin to reggae, and from funk to brass, as well as hybrids of the abovementioned. The unifying characteristics of this diverse output will be superior mastering quality, intelligent content and production, and an avoidance of overused formulaic songwriting.
