I was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and I attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Powerlifting has played a huge part in my life. (BEST LIFTS: 335 squat, 248 Bench, and 325 Deadlift in the 114 lbs. weight class) Although it's supposed to just be a hobby, sometimes it can consume me. It's a very addictive sport and I began to do really well at it. After a knee injury and a series of events, I decided to move to San Diego to learn more about the business side of the Fitness Industry. In San Diego, I met a few successful people in the industry and even dated one of them. I realized that it's not something I really want. Coming from Louisiana, California sort of overwhelmed me. I ended up leaving Cali and moving to Gulf Shores, Alabama to give myself some time to recollect and decide where I really want to live and what I want to do.
Having a family is becoming more and more important to me, but a husband that I can relate to is even more important. I'll settle down eventually.
I've always been up for new experiences and meeting people from all over the world. Traveling for Powerlifting meets and working in different states has given me the opportunity to learn and experience. I feel like it makes me grow; it opens my mind. Meanwhile, I'm totally enjoying the beach in Gulf Shores!! I love being outside.
Be sure to check out my Blog to see some interesting websites that I've listed. Some contain pictures and interviews that I've done, along with my supportive sponsors.Bench America 3 took place near Chicago, IL.
I come in a little after the 8 minute mark. Thank you Sean Katterle for posting the video; my dvd is messed up. I have to say that that outfit I wear out to the platform is totally hot! One should always wear a tight belt (that squeezes your organs) to accessorize!
