I guess I'm first and foremost a musician, now in my 27th year of playing guitar. I consider myself very fortunate to have studied with two incredible guitarists; Gary Hoey and Brian Alex(Rahilly). They helped mold my previously self-taught string bashing into something cohesive and musical.
I am secondly a pilot with a thorough fascination of all things having to do with flight. My favorite flying is in former Navy trainers, T-34B Mentors, out of NAS Whidbey Island (WA). There is nothing like flying a 50+ year-old warbird with the canopy open. I've flown with Air Combat USA through their Advanced Combat Tactics program and landed (as a passenger) on, then catapulted from the USS Enterprise CVN-65 in a C-2A Greyhound.
I've been doing photography since '87 and shooting professionally since '92. My work is in books, calendars, on book covers, in magazines, on album covers, and in corporate advertising. I manage to mix left and right brain tendencies with an engineering day job in the aerospace industry. I've worked on some true history making airplanes, among them one of the largest ever to fly. Think of it like building a model kit with 6,000,000 parts - some of them REALLY heavy. I'm fairly down-to-earth with a great sense of humor. I also tend to bring out other people's sense of humor.
Bands I've been in, first to last; Dave Tack Group, Foreplay, Random Access, Vendeada, Bogus Santa, Rick Cisco Group, Jon Berg Group, September Wind (with Lisa Fullerton), DZ (Desert Zamboni) , Skinny Dog
Travel: I really like to travel and explore new places. My favorite so far? Taiwan! I liked it so much I spent most of 2006 there. Can't wait to go back. The American Southwest is simply amazing. Canada c'est tres bon although I'm drawn more to the British influenced coastal areas.
