Born in Arkansas and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Stephen Dale is a country music recording artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. His music meets his personality with an edge of honky-tonk and energetic country riffs brought together by years of life and loving music.
Like so few artists today, Stephen Dale’s life tells a story of tradition, hardship, and hope. At age eight, Stephen became an employee on the boat docks in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, cleaning fish and boats. Although he admits he probably wasn’t the best employee, “I showed up,” he laughs. “I’ve done everything from training horses to working on grain elevators in Kansas and Oklahoma.” Stephen says he always saw a path for his life, and figured part of walking that road was going cost him blood and sweat.
“No job could satisfy my thirst for something different…then, a few years ago I was singing in my truck. My best friend asked me had I ever tried singing. Of course I said, ‘You gotta be kiddin’ me!’ From the very first moment I stood on that stage, I knew what I was supposed to do for the rest of my life.”
Stephen says for him, the worst thing in life he could’ve done would be to stop dreaming. “I try and accept each day for exactly what it is: a gift.”
