He is a graduate of Kiski Area H.S. in Pennsylvania (2001) and also holds a degree cum laude in Saxophone performance from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH (2006). Professionally he has been steadily active since 2002 playing at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH as a saxophonist and a bassist, performing in three internationally award-winning shows. He has played with the Youngstown, Fort Wayne (IN), Columbus, Houston, Buffalo, Grand Rapids, and Detroit Symphony Orchestras. Mr. Pflugh toured Canada three times and Japan twice, and has played in 48 of 50 US states with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, becoming a regularly featured soloist, assistant road manager, vocalist, and the audio engineer for the ensemble. Pflugh can be heard on two CDs with the YSU Wind Ensemble, and one CD with the YSU Jazz Ensemble I. He has also been heard with the Glenn Miller Orchestra on three XM Satellite Radio broadcasts in October 2005 and has been featured on the groups' newest CD entitled Steppin' Out.
