With his fluid mixing and cutting skills, which have rocked dancefloors from Toulouse to New York City, Sti is one of the most-dedicated and well-respected soldiers fighting for the cause of drum'n'bass in France. He started out in Toulouse, the city considered by many to be the national epicentre of this musical genre. Sti created the well-known Dragon Crew alongside other DJs in the area, including Le Lutin, Kush, Brooks and Youthman. Creating a stir all over France and abroad, the crew organized parties and events for around five years. Dragon Crew was responsible for a series of legendary events at Le Bikini, until it closed, drawing crowds of over 1000 and featuring the top names in drum'n'bass including Roni Size, Andy C and Marcus Intalex, among others.
When Sti is not working in the studio, he is regularly on the road. He has toured Spain, Scandinavia, North America, East Europe, Germany and The Netherlands. Playing to such international audiences has enhanced his mixing skills and his fluid style has captured both underground devotees and mainstream listeners. Equally comfortable playing at fired-up clubs or more chilled-out venues, his mix alternates between voluptuous, atmospheric rhythms and raw, dancefloor-ready beats. Sti's on-point selection and years of practice make it easy for him to play to any crowd.
Sti has been living in Paris for 5 years now, where he tears up the capital's nightclubs when he's not producing new tunes, solo or in collaboration with other artists from the french scene such as DJ Ben (No Fridge), Random (M-Atom), Dresden Codx (Cryptic Audio), Youthman (Bingo), and Le Lutin/Audio Unit (TOV). In 2003, he made his much awaited move to the then up and coming french-canadian label Metaphor recordings, whilst a selection of his productions were released on several french labels.
