Brandon Ross (lead vocals), Steve Genua (rhythm guitar), Kamil Rzeznik (lead guitar), Robin Dworak (bass guitar), and ?????? (drums) each bring their unique personal style and influence to AMFTC. With some formal music training and much experimentation, each band member has carved out their personal style. Their chemistry is undeniable. They electrify their audiences with raw emotion and energy. Their style incorporates 70’s guitar riffs, 80’s inspired solos, and the raw emotion of 90’s grunge to create a sound that is uniquely hard rock. Brandon Ross, provides authentic, powerful lyrics that blend well with the chemistry and passion that each band member brings to collaborative songwriting. It wasn’t long before the band played their very first show at the "Vans Warped Tour" in August 2007, only two months after they were formed. It provided a great opportunity for the band to test drive their material and their on-stage musical style.They embarked on their next round of competition through The Emergenza, Music Festival; an independent label that provides opportunities for indie bands to compete in 17 countries. This prompted the band to focus on songwriting and refining their sound.On June 28, 2008 AMFTC played Le Medley in Montreal, Quebec, winning the coveted Emergenza Canadian first place that would take them to the finals in Rothenburg, Germany. On August 8, 2008 AMFTC played the Taubertal Open Air Festival to a roaring crowd of 20,000. The two day festival saw them place third out of the 18 international acts in the final.A Match for the Curious has become a recognized name in and around the Toronto region, bringing their sound to Lee’s Palace, The El Mocambo, The Opera House and many other recognized venues. They have also embraced the college and university scene, performing live on a number of radio and internet stations.
