Sounds Like: "Well what can I say... Chimera rouge sound like a mix between a disturbing grind house horror film and a dying goat. Few people realise it but we are really quite bad. Judge for yourself! My friend herbert (a snail who lives in my garden) once said that, "if I had ears I am sure that you would sound just like a large female matriarch mother snail on its period..." Well there you have it from the snail himself. But I dont think that fully describes the extent of our ear splitty and quite frankly shitty music you will have to talk to one of our few and extremely sad fans if you want the real verdict!" - Oscar Watkins
"Dirty Pretty things comes to mind as an influencing factor for these guys. They were pretty tight and musically adept. These are one of those bands that really could grow into some thing of a high quality.." - 1988 Club
"Chimera Rouge are an emerging North London indie three-piece. Their songs are fresh and eclectic and their fan base is rightly growing everyday. They have a wide range of influences, ranging from The Kooks to ska and jazz to fellow North London bands like Cajun Dance Party and Bombay Bicycle Club. When i saw them live at the Islington Bar Academy, they played a fantastic set and I really saw Libertine-esque influences in Will (guitarist/lead vocalist) and Sam (bassist/vocalist) My favorite tracks were "Three Minutes" "Had It All/Lost It All" and their jazzy rendition of "Hallelujah"
With a mixture of their indie image, their talented song-writing and their energetic live performances, you'd better watch out, Chimera Rouge are going to get big... " - Guy Smith
"Bringing Private School indie back" - THE Chris Taylor
