About Me

Abi has played intimate venues from her home town to festivals and stadiums of 15,000 people: including the London Palladium in 2002, BBC 6 Radio Summer Sundae Weekender in 2004 and The Huddersfield Galpharm Stadium in 2005. She sings, plays guitar, piano, violin and mandolin and released her critically acclaimed debut album of original material "The Aftermath of '96" in 2006, along with a CGI video to the single "The Prophecy (Part I)." Her heartrending lyrics are wrapped up neatly inside a nostalgic melody, delivering a package that leaves her audiences breathless.Never one to fit into pigeon-holes, Abi's debut isn't simply "folk rock." The catchy sixties influence of "Circles" runs into the dark, angry "Dear David," reaches eerie heights in the haunting Kate-Bush-esque "The Prophecy," passing by the gospel-infused "Remember Me," lifting the mood with the jazz-cafe style "Let It Go" and touching raw nerves with the longing "Mama Please." From the difficulty of a relationship breakdown to the death of her childhood sweetheart ("Holding On"), family dysfunction, and the simple loyalty of friendship, Abi covers topics everyone can relate to with "wise beyond her years lyrics and a voice that oozes honesty and passion" (The Troubadour, London.) There is something for everyone, and for every emotion on this, the self produced, self- recorded, self- mixed and self- edited album from 25 year old singer/songwriter Abi Moore. The album is available at all her gigs and from www.abimoore.com.As well as putting on her own engaging, moving and thoughtful live shows, she is also a sought- after support artist for bands and artists of all genres, having already opened for the likes of Midge Ure, Mark Flanagan (Jools Holland's guitarist), Jim Moray, LAU, Jonatha Brooke, Edwina Hayes, the Coal Porters and will support Amy Wadge, Steve Tilston and 10CC on her current tour. She is in the process of writing and recording her second album which is due for independent relase later this year.Video for The Prophecy produced by Blue Dog Films
