About Me

Layout by CoolChaser
About me....as you can see by my page and pictures, I am really lucky to have so many great friends and family. They are hands down the most important things in my life. I love my busy crazy life. I am busy every week night and weekend, and sometimes I just wish I had time to stop and breathe, but this is my life right now and I wouldn't change it for anything. When I'm old I'll have time to sit on the couch and think back of my busy crazy days. However, I'm not sure why I even have a myspace page. Jenn told me, "It's the thing to do..." so I did it :) It is nice keeping in touch with friends from high school and college on here. I'm not really looking for any new friends on here, so don't ask to be my myspace friend unless I already know you. Sorry, but I already have the best family and friends in the world! My husband and I moved to Shippensburg due to his job. Believe me if we had the choice we wouldn't of moved here. Now saying that, I have met a lot of nice people who have turned into life long friends out here, so when we do move back to Pittsburgh, don't worry guys, I'll be back to Shippensburg to visit you! In fact my husband just received word that he will be transferring back to Troop B Pittsburgh in November and we are both thrilled! Just like I had to buy the house by myself, I now have to sell it because Matty will be in Pgh and I'll be here...lol...how did that happen? I'd like to think that I'm a great friend, I keep in touch with everyone who is important to me. My friends will tell you I'm obsessed with stationary, and I am. Matthew hates it that everytime we go to Ross Park Mall I spend an hour in one of my favorite stores, Papyrus. I am the only person I know who will still write a good 'ole fashined letter to someone :) I love my job and I love having 3-day weekends each week! I may or may not go back to teaching. Teaching is one of the hardest and most important jobs in this world and it is really frustrating that teachers in this country are not allowed to teach for the students anymore, are unappreciated, are expected to parent at the schools, and are totally underpaid (okay did I vent enough?). You can't beat the summers off though lol!
My parents raised me to treat others the way you would want to be treated. So my advice is if anyone tries to bring you down, just stay true to yourself and let people talk. I learned a long time ago that if you just let people talk, their true colors will come through and they end up being the idiot you always knew they were. The better person ALWAYS wins, period. The one thing I do know in life is that "love is all you need." No one is perfect, especially me, but if "love" is at the foundation of your marriage, friendship, or any relationship it will endure anything that will try to come in its way. I live by two mantas, both by my buds Paul and John ;-) "All You Need is Love" and "I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends" :)
I LOVE: my life, my husband, my pups, my niece, my family, my in-laws, my friends, the PSP family, Pittsburgh, martinis, football, hockey, designer shoes (the higher the heel the better), designer purses, designer clothes, anything SATC, Friends, weddings (I'm in my 12th one in October), my Maxima, my old Hummer, hot tubbin', cool whip, Aunt Gaye's fried rice, sour apple gummi-o's, Popsicles, ice cream, pizza, taking pictures, Angelo's spaghetti, The Melting Pot, Sonic, jewelry/accessories, my sweat suits, lipgloss, BCBG Max Azria, Chanel, my yoga pants, anything Coach, memories of EUP, memories of weekends at Teen's in high school, the smell of fall, concerts, decorating for any holiday, Black Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas (I should of been born in WHOville), reading, cake, talking, all my friends kids, me and my girls yearly martini party, weekend trips, Deep Creek, our townhouse in Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas (I got engaged there, and we go back to visit each year), the VIP sky boxes at Club Rain, Grey Goose vodka, dancing, disco, YEAH!, US Weekly, Ross Park Mall, InStyle magazine, going to NASCAR races, my new "life is good" socks, babies, appletini in a box, laying out at the beach or the pool, jet skiing, boating, bike week in MB, making cookies, Disney World, Starbucks hot chocolate, cake, HDTV, Tooters, New Orleans, Sephora, Target, the colors pink and purple, mornings (yup, I'm a morning person).
I dislike: white trash, smokers, John Mayer (ugly and whiny), milk, cheese, butter, fast food, stupid people who can't spell or form a correct sentence, flat shoes, people who don't know how to dress (like Rihanna...seriously, who dresses that girl???), techno, Matthew's beater car, stalker girls, ripped jeans, these girls that have skunk-like hair (one strip that is a differnt color...trashy), people who put decals on their cars (trashy), drunk drivers, girls that have a "potty mouth", plucking my eyebrows, whiskey, Wal-Mart, people who call Chambersburg, C-burg (my husband and his coworkers will tell you that they babysit most of the people in Franklin county that say that lol).
You Are an Appletini
Most of the time, you're a typical party girl.
But when you get super sauced, you really up your sex appeal.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.....SHOW YOUR PINK!!! You are all aware of the fight my family is currently battling with this cancer and I do appreciate all your thoughts and prayers!

Music:

I have no favorite "type" of music...the only music I'm not a big fan of is country. My reason for that is that I have to have something to listen to when I'm old and it isn't going to be polka!!! I have all kids of different songs on my ipod: The B-52's, Elvis, DMB, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Steve Miller Band, Michael Jackson (his old good stuff, of course) The Beatles, Nirvana, Bon Jovi, The Clarks, Coldplay, Guns N Roses, Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Brown, Tone Loc, The Commodores, ANYTHING DISCO (I grew up in the wrong era, I should of been a DISCO girl) And everyone knows my song is "YEAH" by Usher!

Movies:

Again, I have no favorite "type" of movies. Seriously, my favorites range from Cinderalla to Pulp Fiction....you can't get a bigger range than that! LOL
I LOVE DAZED AND CONFUSED...not only is this movie a classic, but my girls and I used to skip school and watch this movie and Friday....Friday is also another classic, "You got knocked the F@#% out!"

"Do they speak English in WHAT......"

I love Christmas Vacation. Especially Cousin Eddie "Shitter's full"
Cinderella is still the best fairy tale

Sex and the City Trailer

This commercial is hilarious and is right....it is priceless to have friends and family that understand and support the crazy things you do in life :-)

Television:

Up until recently I wasn't a big tv fan...you wouldn't think that by the huge tv in our livingroom, but my husband is a gadget guy, LOL! But I did start watching some shows last year during the writers strike on the internet. I do like Grey's Anatomy, Rescue Me, How I Met Your Mother, Samantha Who, and Desperate Housewives, The Hills, Lipstick Jungle, just to name a few. Like every other Pittsburgh native, I LIVE for Sundays to watch the STEELERS. I have been a huge Penguins fan since I was in high school and Uncle Ron played for the Penguins (Ron Francis #10 :-) and we won the cups, so I watch those games as much as I can out here in South Central PA! I'm the only girl I know of that had her husband get her the NFL Ticket and not just the NFL ticket, the NFL ticket superfan where all the games are on HD! I LOVE it! I told Matt when we move back to the 'burg here soon, that I still want the NFL ticket, I'm obsessed with watching all the NFL games and I'm a football snob now, I know I have to watch them in HD!!! LOL
I loved Friends back in the day and have all 10 seasons on DVD. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED Sex and the City when they were on HBO. I have the complete box set on DVD and the movie was GREAT, of course!

Books:

I'm a HUGE reader...I've loved reading since I was in the 4th grade and started reading Nancy Drew and The Babysitters Club...some would call me a "dork" LOL I read at least 2 books a week. I'll read anything you put in front of me. Let's just say I have a Shippensburg Public Library card and they know me by name there :-)

Our new blue raspberry martini the girls and i enjoyed Saturday night!

We Love Shorty's!!!

Heroes:

My parents, Barb and Chuck, who have been married for 35 years. The older I get the more I realize I'm more like them than I'd like to admit...lol...I was and will always be a "daddy's girl" and as much as I like to tease Chuck, I love all his buildings and his 8 cars (at last count and yes, I am well aware that I married my father lol) I never had a "want" in life and they will never know how much I love and appreciate every single day I share with them.
Donna, my mother-in-law, who is battling breast cancer. She is one of the bravest, strongest, loving women that I know and I am proud that she calls me her daughter.
All the men and women who serve our country in the armed forces. My cousin, Jack, who is finally back from Iraq for the second time. My cousin, Roddy, who unfortunately will be leaving for Iraq or Afghanistan this month. Also all the firemen/women and policemen/women that protect our homes.
My friends and family who no matter what are ALWAYS there for me when I need them.
