Music Festival

A Free Festival of World Music and CultureAlverno Presents, the performing art series of Alverno College, in partnership with Milwaukee County Parts, is pround to bring Milwaukee's FREE outdoor festival of music and culture, Global Union, back to Humboldt Part for in the third incredible season.This year; Global Union, the community-wide, educational celebration,will take place again in the beautiful Humboldt Park Chalet Band Shell. Eight bands from around the world, four each day. Global Union coincides with world music festivals organized as a consortium in Chicago(Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs), Madison(University of Wisconsin, and Bloomington,IN(Lotus Festival-University of Indiana).This year's projected attendance is 11,000 over the two days of the complete festival. The projection for 2007 was 8,000, and over9,000 people, or 50% more than 2006, attended the event, whowing a very strong increase.
