You would have thought that having owned a guitar for about 8 years, i should be a guitar legend in the making by now. Unfortunately, thats not true, as for the majority of that time, my guitar was tucked away in its case. I was once in a band that had all the ingredients for superstardom, but we ended up having more band names than practice sessions and we vanished into obscurity.Now though, with no pressure on my shoulders and some free time, i’ve dusted off my digital recorder and recorded some simple and random songs. Originally I just did 1-track recordings...then i realised there were another 7 and a whole new world opened up. All my songs are pretty much made up on the spot, so just little ideas that came into my head and could do with a lot more care and attention.So over the course of forever, i’ll be adding more songs, maybe updating a few and try and figure out how to use the built in drum machine so i don’t have the same beat every time. I have no goals with this, i’m just going to record whatever comes to me at the time and see where i go.Since i wrote the previous 3 paragraphs i have gone Mac-tastic which means i can make music using a computer. I was hoping all my songs from then on would sound like Fitter Happier, but i must have balls’ed up somewhere. I hope to write a song that will bring peace to the world in the same way that the michael jackson, diana ross and cyndi lauper collaboration song did.Thanks for reading and enjoy!
