Gerardo Graupera, better known in the music industry as “Dviceâ€, is a young Latin artist who has captivated the attention of thousands of young Latinos in the u.s and Puerto Rico. Inspired by his grandfather Eduardo Cortinas Valdez a professional pianist and arranger, Dvice began his career on the streets of Puerto Rico and at local hot spots showcasing his talent and unique sound. He began to pursue his writing talents as a ghost writer for many artists in his genre. His controversial style and sensual urban lyrics have set him apart in the music industry.
While with Revolu Records Dvice signed a contract with Universal Latino and Released his first Album “Bueno o Malo†in 2005. His talent & style has given him the opportunity to perform in front of thousands, at significant events throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, In 2005 he was the opening act in the Miami Music Festival “Calle 8†where industry giants such as Daddy Yankee, Alexis Y Fido, Fat Joe, and Pitbull were headliners. That same year he toured the United States with the renowned rap group “ONYX†as the opening act nationwide. Other major events include the Urban Latin Festival & Puerto Rican Parade. On July 4th he opened for the “MEGA 94.9 Festival†in Bayfront Park with headliners such as R.K.M Y KEN-Y and Hector el father.
In 2006 Dvice partly worked on the song “Espaldota†a very successful production which was featured in the motion picture “feel the noise†produced by Jennifer Lopez, for the Latin urban market. This opportunity has since opened many doors for the young artist. Today Dvice is coming back with a fresh style and innovative vision, evident in his new production. His new album release promises to be one of the strongest productions in its genre in 2009. Over the years his experience in the music business have moved him to create a new sound within the Pop and Latin Urban Market, which will surely put him at the pinnacle of his career.
