ARKIR?! People scratching their heads... "what's up with that name?" Well here's the scoop, it's just a mixture letters from the Intro's and Byrkir's names, that's all. Their music, on the other hand, is the real reason why folks ought to be scrathing their little heads.
"Why?" Because it's just that damn good! It's good because they both have been developing a very unique and distinctive sound, Intro as a beatmaker and recording engineer and Byrkir lyrically and vocally. It's not the first time they've collaborated, but this time around they've taken a conscious and decisive approach towards letting the uniqueness of their individual sound run wild and uninhibited and combining it at the same instant. That´s Arkir. If you'd like to know all that other typical stuff; "where they from", "making music since when","is there an album coming", "what the hell is Byrkir talking about in his songs" and so on and so forth, here's a quick rundown: Intro - westside Reykjavik, Byrkir - some remote little place out in the country, later moved to Ãrbær, Reykjavik. Both been making music since late 90's and both members of the legendary Forgotten Lores crew. There is an album dropping very soon, titled "S7Ö-N9U-ÞRE13ÃN", stay tuned for future developements.
