May I start out by saying that this page is not endorsed by SIA World Services. This is just a profile made by a survivor of incest that found that SIA has been helpful in my own recovery. I wanted to make a home base for me mostly to be able to click over and remember the things I have learned. I hope that by reading this yo'll be able to remember too.If you are interested in finding a local meeting of SIA, please contact SIA World Services. They have means to find a local meeting in which you may be able to attend. These meetings are not comfortable meetings, they address the painful subject of child abuse and how it has affected our lives. They are an excellent source though to remind you that you are not alone in your fight to heal from the wreckage of our pasts and to heal. it is generally reccomended that you use SIA in conjnction with therapy, as we members of SIA are not professionals, just survivors, like you.I'd like to say that this page does not violate the traditions. By choosing to come here, you have found in effect an open meeting. I'm not going to promote this space, and I think it's kinda akin to all the AA and NA spaces. You are as anonymous as you want to be here. If you choose, you may want to start a seperate MySpace pae that doesn't talk about your personal life if you want. Others might not care so much and let their usual profile be linked here.No one will be turned away, unless, of course, they are engaging in perpretration issues. like in face to face meetings, perpretration issues are not allowed here.
