Following in the tradition of the West African storyteller or Griot (pronouced gree-oh) who carried the oral history of their people from generation to generation, GRIOT3 continues this custom with a new millennium twist. Weaving poetry, hip-hop, movement, and traditional theater with story telling, the trio engages audiences on many levels. While seeking to invigorate and stimulate the conventional theatergoer, GRIOT3 reaches out to newcomers.
