I am the Reverend Jeremy John "Ranger" Robbins, from Portland, Oregon. I have a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Marylhurst University and I occasionally perform weddings, but I am not an actual priest, nor am I particularly religious for that matter. I do have a great awe for the universe and I love to study all religions especially cults, zealots, and mysticism. I am disabled- on October 3, 1999 I broke my neck on a mountain bike resulting in quadriplegia and paralysis- so I use a wheelchair to get around. I believe that it is the worst and best thing that ever happened to me, a true paradox. I do not let it slow me down or keep me from doing the things I want to do. My life is exciting and I am happy to be given the chance to make life better for all disabled people. In a sense, my sermon is to spread to the gospel of disability awareness. Wheelchairs are cool, but they are tough to get around in, so we need to change how we access our world. The other change that is necessary is the perception and attitude that society has about disability, and I am living proof of that!
