100% Cotton Biography
100% Cotton is an Acoustic Jam Rock band formed in the summer of 2005 by guitarists Chris Moran and Brandon Broderick. After writing several songs acoustically, the duo took to the streets playing numerous acoustic shows, writing songs and working to form a band. Eventually in the summer of 2007, 100% Cotton became a full band featuring members Chris Moran, Brandon Broderick, Eitan Levine, John Aponte and Mike Pechter. The band went through several lineups and drummers including Matt Lauritsen and Matt Peterson before finally settling on Andrew Saunders in the the fall of 2008. John Aponte left the band due to personal reasons in the summer of 2008 and was replaced by longtime friend Bill Dripps. Leo Kalik, known as a friend of the band for several years joined in October of 2008 on lead guitar and vocals, adding a more rock oriented element to the band.
The first official show 100% Cotton performed was in May of 2006 as an Acoustic duo. The first full band 100% Cotton performance was at It's A Grind Cafe on September 6th, 2007. After some time playing shows and changing band members, the band finally got a solid group of members and began playing shows around the Rutgers University/New Brunswick area. The band continues to play shows and continues to build a loyal and dedicated fanbase, starting from a core group of fans in Rutgers University's Brett Hall dormitory
