Hailing from the outskirts of D.C., singer-songwriter Katie Arnold has been writing music for the past 20 years. She started out on piano as a child, picked up a guitar in college, and didn't discover the unleashed power of her voice until her early twenties. Now this soul-stirring musician is captivating audiences in her new home, New York City, with thought-provoking lyrics and rich melody lines. Maybe it is her haunting voice that has been compared to such greats as Sarah McLachlan and Alanis Morissette or perhaps it is the simplistic beauty of her music. Katie's debut album, Five Shades in Motion was recorded in the mountains of Montana with a small group of talented and passionate friends. Layers of piano, strings, percussion and guitar enhance the simplistic beauty of her acoustic songs.
