Reflex is a terrible thing. I was at a sound check recently for a gig I was playing and the sound engineer wandered up to me asking, "Can I get you barred?". "Yeah, no problem" I blurted before realising what he'd said. I'd assumed some relevant question about gear was about to be asked and I havn't worked with the guy in about 2 years. Mental note for myself, the process order is listen, analyse, answer and NOT listen, answer, analyse.
People might get the wrong impression of me if I'm not careful. Offense might be only a few words away.
