For those who don't know me, I would consider myself someone who likes a good challenge. This year, I have challenged myself to walk in the Avon Breast Cancer walk in San Francisco July 12th & 13th!I participated in the walk last year with my husband Dave, and had a great time. I wouldn't say that the walk was easy, but it is doable. I would also say that this event can change your life.Having cancer run in my family, and losing loved ones (family and friends) to cancer, surrounding myself with survivors and people like myself- who just want to help- was very powerful and very emotional! There were a couple times during the day that Dave had to remind me that this was a fun event - "look how many people are walking and participating... all for the BOOB!!! Man it's good to be a guy! Chicks everywhere!!!!Life is like a box of Chocolates.... you never know what you are going to get! You never know how important your actions are!I am asking everyone who can, help me and other find a cure for cancer. Help me and others, donate money to research (Facilities, operations..). I know that I alone, can't make a difference, but dame it, I'm willing to try.I'm walking again this year - by myself - and I could really use your support.
