Fashion DesignerSpecializing in ready to wear high end womens fashion, designing clothes that are feminine, sophisticated and flirtatious whilst retaining an element of sexiness through a desire to flatter the female form. Tailored garments make a reoccurring appearance in her work, along with a tendency to opt for contrasting fabrics and silhouettes.Numerous work placements and industry based competitions have enabled professional liaisons that are highly conducive to the work she produces. Having worked alongside designers like Kristian Aadnevik
and Aimee McWilliams as well as gaining experience with high street companies such as Monsoon, she is increasingly employable through her varied skill base and flexible nature.June 2007 saw the extent of her work on catwalk display at Graduate Fashion Week in London. Being put forward for the River Island Gold award and then shortlisted for the top 10 students out of all the collections shown, has enabled a wider viewing of the collection and opened up a number of doors in terms of future employment. In addition to the above, press coverage has included being in the London Metro for an article entitled 'Sewing a new seed' that
featured the best Eco designers emerging from colleges all over Britain.Preview of collection 'Discarded Beauty'..... a collection compiled from used clothes and discarded fabric. The idea of restriction is evident through out the collection, with the use of body conscious shapes and triangular panels. An eclectic use of print and fabric make way into controlled shapes and flattering silhouettes, providing a contemporary, sophisticated and slightly quirky approach to Eco-Fashion.Her work is already hitting the market it deserves with a selection
of the outfits to go on sale in Selfridges this October.
