Spitoon

About Me

Spitoon began when Eli "Sleaze" Quinn laid down all the instrumental and vocal tracks for his "drinking country" songs he'd been fiddling with while recording albums for his other bands Dirgus and Officer Steve . His good friends in the Madison, WI rock band The Treats heard some mixes of the grizzled but humorous tunes and enthusiastically offered to join Spitoon to bring the project to the live stage. Vocalist/guitarist Sleaze is joined by Don Isham on drums, Andrew Isham on guitar/backing vocals, and Tim Payne on bass/backing vocals.Nearly all Spitoon songs are inspired by booze and the wondrous properties it contains; this is especially evident in knee-slappin' tunes such as "Whiskey" and "Benders." These tunes can be heard on the four-song album recorded by Sleaze entitled "The Drunkard's Handbook EP," which will be released in early 2005. A full-length Spitoon album is planned to be recorded soon, which will include such new songs as "Russian Bride," "Taverns," and "Adam's Apple."If you'd like to buy a copy of "The Drunkard's Handbook EP" for the measly sum of 6 bucks, shoot an email to [email protected]. You'll dig it, we swear!
