I'm Harrie Lee, born in 1965 and i have been the bass player of several punkrock bands in the Netherlands. Nowadays i play bass in punkrockband Harries89. Anyway, i'm a happy man with two beautifull daughters and a beautifull girlfriend with 2 sweet sons. I'm working with difficult teenagers and a part of my work is teaching them to enjoy music. So i finally get payed by doing music, haha!
(SPLATCH. 1979-1981)
I started my first band in 1979, on the age of 14. The band was called SPLATCH and was ofcourse a punkrockband, verry loud and bad! We recorded one tape and i'm still searching for a copy cause it's gone!Bandmembers were: BERRIE MORSCATE (guitar), EPPIE HOTZ (drums), FRANKY RIJKEN (vocals) and me... The band started as a schoolband with 2 girls singing but changed suddenly when we were kicked out from school.
(NURFUS PIGS 1981-1983)
This was something else! Hard,loud,snotty and for those times really good. The style was influenced by bands like the EXPLOITED and GBH. Bandmembers were: EGBERT JOOSTEN (drums), HANS JANSSEN(guitar) and a guy called JACCO (?) on vocals. Before i joined the band they were called HIROZIMA KITS.
(DALTONS 1983-1988)
Formed with EGBERT JOOSTEN, the drummer of the Nurfus Pigs, BERRY MORSCATE, the singer/gitarist of Splatch and ROB SIEBENGA, who was really aggresive and crazy and a nice bloke!.And a good gitarist!
We also played with the namE: FANG. The band had different line-up's, some other guys who played in the DALTONS were: JAN BOUWMEESTER (vocals), BERNARD DE GRAAF (bass, i played guitar!), and OSCAR BROEKHUIZEN (drums).
(BLOODY AMIRA & THE OBJECTS, 1982-1983)
a good and decent band but to much poppy, so i quit! EPPIE HOTZ, formal drummer of SPLATCH played in this band too.
(AAPIES KIJKEN, 1983-1984)
A real fun dutch language hardcore band with lyrics about fairytails and dwarves, and how to get drunk without having money and how you feel the next day. Say no more, say no more!
(KILL CITY REBEL, 1990-1991)
Formed with ex-DALTONS drummer EGBERT JOOSTEN and ex-DALTONS guitarist ROB SIEBENGA. We recorded a titelless record and did some gigs. But my main intress was THE HARRIES so i had to quit. ROB SIEBENGA died some years later, JOOSTEN continued with other musicians.
(THE HARRIES, 1989-2006)
I still play in this band. Nowadays were called HARRIES89. Me and frontman HARRIE HARRIE (singer/guitar) formed the band in 1989 together with ex-DALTON singer JAN BOUWMEESTER. If you wanna hear some songs go to; myspace.com/harries89 or to www.harries89.nl I hope you have fun!
