MATT BACKUP has been working as an underground producer for some 12 years.
His musical background and influences have been part of his life since his early school days from the influences of BREAKDANCING, BODYPOPPING & ELECTRO and has taken him on a journey through such diverse influences as JAZZ, FUNK, HIP HOP, SOUL, INDIE, ROCK, DANCE and SOUNDTRACKS.His PRODUCTION STYLE can only be described as uniquie which is due to his many different influences and a knack for not following the rules set out within modern music production.Over the years he has been involved in various Projects including QUANTUM DELUXE, MANICCOMPRESSION & His own project URBAN DECOR as well as being a CLUB PROMOTER to give him self experiance of the live field of the music industry.
He has showcased his material at IN THE CITY (Manchester) & RCA / BMG (Private Showcase)He is currently working on a project called The Broken 8
